About Vickery Funeral Chapels
Mike began his business in 1986 when he built his first funeral home in Equality. Previously, he received a degree in Mortuary Science from Southern Illinois University -Carbondale in 1982 and worked in Benton, Harrisburg, and Ridgway.
It was a long first year but with the help of his friends and family, his business began to grow.
In 1990 Mike purchased Wright-Byassee Funeral in Shawneetown from Paulette Byassee.
Then in 1993 after serving six years in the U.S. Navy, Diana (Haney) married Mike. Diana completed her degree in 1994. In 1997 they purchased Edwards Funeral Home in Ridgway and Omaha.
Since 1997 we have served Gallatin County from these four locations.

Our experienced staff members are active in our community and prioritize volunteering and attending local events. We respect the power of remembrance and the value of funerals.
