Obituary

Richard A. “Doc” Frohm, 69, of Omaha, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at his home.  He was born July 17, 1953, the son of William and Eunice (Cox) Frohm in Middletown, Ohio.  Richard was a free spirit who loved music and good conversation.  He enjoyed nature, science, friends and his dog, Jack.  He worked many years at the Pattiki Coal Mine where he got the nickname “Doc”.  Richard is survived by two daughters, Autumn (Phillip) Buchta of Carmi and Amy (David) Cox; granddaughter, Kelsea (Daniel) Nelson; grandson, Brody Cox; great grandson, Aiden Nelson, all of Norris City;  three sisters, Suellen Bare and Leslie Frohm, both of Middletown, Ohio and Nina (Jim) Saltzman of Sugarland, Texas; one brother, Terry Frohm of Thailand; one sister-in-law, Christine (Tony) Johnson of Norris City; one brother-in-law, Stan Pearce of Norris City as well as nieces and nephews including Noah and Colin Johnson of Norris City; his dog, Jack and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his spouse, Nancy Frohm; his sister, Debby Ventura; and his niece, Angela Bare.  As per his wishes, Richard will be cremated.  Vickery Funeral Chapel in Omaha in charge of arrangement.
