Margaret (McCabe) Mossman

Margaret Mossman, 92, of Junction, Illinois formerly of Equality, passed away at her home on Monday , January 10, 2022.  Margaret was born on January 20, 1929 in Stonefort, the daughter of Hugh Francis and Iva Olive (Felty) McCabe.  She married Herbert “Blackie” Mossman on June 27th of 1950.  Blackie preceded Margaret in death on February 7th of 2008.  She was a member of the St. Kateri Catholic Church in Ridgway.  Margaret leaves behind her loving family; her daughter, Joan and Bob Fromm of Junction; two sons, David M. Mossman of Peoria, Christopher and Karla Mossman of Equality; one surviving brother, Patrick and Alice McCabe of Murrieta, California; seven grandchildren, Kristin Waller of Morganfield, Kentucky; Ryan and Ashley Fromm of Junction, Tina Fromm of Norris City; Jae Michael Mossman of Peoria, April Fulton of Golconda, Andrew Montgomery of Chicago, Maisie Mossman of Equality; twelve great grandchildren, Addie and Avery Waller, Ava and Grayson Fromm, Tate, Trey and Vada Fromm, Alicia, Amber, Mystic, Eli and Adrian Fulton; two great great grandsons, Karter and Saylor; several special nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Patricia McGuire; one sister, Anne Marie Hinton; four brothers, Robert, Donald, William and Hugh Jr. McCabe.  Visitation for Margaret will be held on Thursday, January 13th from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality.  Funeral Mass will follow the visitation at 11 a.m. at the St. Kateri Catholic Church in Ridgway.  Father Vincent Mukasa will officiate the service.  Burial will be at the St. Joseph Cemetery near Equality.  In lieu of flowers donations in Margaret’s memory may be made to the St. Joseph Cemetery at Equality.
