He was a 1986 graduate of Quincy Senior High School and 1997 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Southern Illinois University of Carbondale, College of Engineering, receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering. Before moving to Southern Illinois, Jeff enjoyed drag racing his 73 Dodge Challenger on weekends, with friends in the Tri-state area for many years, as well as golfing for the Quincy Men’s City League, playing men’s softball for the Quincy Park District, and bowling at Harrison Pub and the Casino Lanes. Jeff and his buddy and golfing partner, Eric Yager, enjoyed attending PGA events, where he was fortunately able to meet his favorite golfer Davis Love III.
