Wilson Berry Gentles, 56, of Eldorado, Ill., formerly of Shawneetown, passed away at the Linda White Hospice House in Evansville, Ind. Berry was born on August 3, 1961 in Wyatt, Mo., the son of James Robert and Caroline Ruth (Berry) Gentles of Shawneetown. He was a truck driver for many years. Berry is survived by not only his parents but also by his son, Elijah Gentles of Shawneetown; his daughter, Cassie and Daniel Seely of Ponds Settlement, Ridgway; one sister, Cindy and Terry Williams of Shawneetown; one brother, Brad and Michelle Gentles of Junction; several nieces and nephews, Josh Gentles, Kacy Speer, Jordan Godfrey, and Wade Godfrey, all of Junction; Tiffany and Scott Sauls, Gracie Sauls, Hannah Sauls, Warner Sauls, Garrett and Jamie Williams, all of Shawneetown ; two grandchildren, Preston and Priscilla Seely. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Wilson and Ruth Berry, James Robert and Eulene Gentles. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown. Pastor Scott Luckett will be conducting the service. Those attending should go directly to the cemetery. Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown will be charge of the service.
