William Donald Hodge

William Donald Hodge, 82, of 772 Main St., Old Shawneetown, Ill., passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2009, 12 a.m., at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Ill. Donald was born on May 4, 1927 in Repton, Ky., to James "Peck" and Trude (Dillard) Hodge. He was a construction worker and was a World War Two Army veteran. Donald is survived by son Larry E. Hodge of Old Shawneetown; and sister, Joyce Frailey of Ridgway. He was preceded in death by parents and three brothers, G.D., Delmar, and Narlis Hodge. Per his wishes, his body has been donated to science and burial will be conducted at a later date. Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown is in charge of arrangements.
