William Edgar "Bill" Bean

William Edgar “Bill” Bean, 73, of Equality, Ill., passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the Linda White Hospice House in Evansville, Ind.  He was born on October 27, 1944 in Equality, the son of the late William Cletus Bean and Della May (Haney) Bean Wallace.  He married Barbara Ann Hopper on March 25, 2005 and she preceded him in death on October 7, 2011.  Bill was a proud Vietnam War Army Veteran.  He worked as warehouseman at Roundy’s from 1979 until his retirement in 2004.  Bill was a member of the Equality American Legion Post# 595.  He is survived by his four children; Dallas and Ken Smothers of Harrisburg, Daniel Bean of Equality, Dustin Bean of Equality, and Destiny Bean of Dillwyn, Va.; four grandchildren, Dakota, Elam, Treyson, and Isabella Bean.  Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one daughter, Diana Bean; one sister, Shirley Moore Berkel; one brother, Harold Bean. There will be no services. Burial will be at the Elmwood Cemetery near Equality.
