Thomas E Taylor

TThomas E. Taylor Jr., 74, of Junction, passed away at his home on Friday, March 25, 2016, 9:15 p.m.  He was born on December 13, 1941 in Glasgow, Ky., the son of Thomas Edward Sr. and Gertrude (Smith) Taylor.  Junior married Lois June Van on December 23, 1984 and she preceded him in death on November 18, 2009.  He retired as a proud UMWA Coal Miner and sold fish commercially.  He is survived by his mother, Gertrude Taylor of Glasgow, Ky.; two daughters, Sandra and Robert Stickley of Stockton, Mo., Melissa Foster of Prescott, Kan., one son, Douglas and Melissa Ann Taylor of Westmoreland, Tenn., Three sisters, Faye Brown, Brenda Ballard, both of Glasgow, Ky., and Judy Key of Layefette, Tenn.; two brothers, Bobby Taylor of Bowling, Ky., Gary Taylor of Glasgow, Ky.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his father; his wife; one son, Thomas E. Taylor III; and two brothers, Phillip Taylor and an infant brother.  There will be a graveside service on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Hogan Cemetery near Shawneetown.
