Thomas Harrelson

Thomas G. "Tom" Harrelson, 80, of Shawneetown, Illinois passed away after an extended illness on Tuesday, May 6th, 2025 at the Wabash Senior Living and Rehab in Carmi. Born in Eldorado on April 5th, 1945 he was the son of the late Vernon and Martha (McCoy) Harrelson. Tom married the former Judith C. "Judy" Kuppart on December 26, 1986. He was a Mason and attended the First Baptist Church in Shawneetown. Tom is survived by his wife, Judy Harrelson of Shawneetown; two children, Dianna Klinger and Michael Harrelson; three step-children, Kellie and Glen Beal of Harrisburg, Beth and Robert Maynard of O'Fallon, Missouri, Mark Speer of Junction; and one grandchild, Samantha Harrelson. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Larry and Bob Harrelson, and his sister, Donna Porter. There will be a graveside service for Tom at the Raleigh Masonic Cemetery on Friday, May 23rd at 10 a.m. with Pastor Jack Hall to officiate the service. Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown will be in charge of arrangements.
