Thelma Louise Case, 84, of Carrier Mills passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, 10:13 a.m., at Harrisburg Medical Center in Harrisburg. She was born on March 19, 1927 near Shawneetown, Ill., the daughter of Oscar and Flora (Morehead) Pinkston. Thelma was a retired LPN from the Bowan Center in Harrisburg. She married Charles Thomas Case on December 7, 1945 and he preceded her in death on February 23, 2004. Also she was a member of the Sloan Street Baptist Church in Harrisburg. Thelma is survived by daughter, Wilma L. Grathler of Equality; one grand daughter, Garyn Case of Tennessee; three grandsons, Gary Case of East St. Louis, Mike and Wendy Dunn of Carrier Mills, Jerry and Angie Grathler of Equality; one sister, Wilma Dempsey of Alton; one brother, Jody and Wiladean Pinkston of Harrisburg; four great grandchildren, Michael and Jessica Dunn, Kyli and Elijah Grathler. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Gary Case; sister, Martha Dean; brother, Thomas E. Pinkston; five half-sisters, Aliene Liggette, Opal Newmann, Helen Feuquay, Leitha Buttler, and Evelyn Bowman. Visitation for Thelma will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 from noon until service time at 1 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown.
