Ruby Lane, 85, of Junction, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, 5:24 a.m. at the Carbondale Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. She was born on July 8, 1930 in Dyer Hill, Kentucky, the daughter of John and Pearl (Dickerson) Riden. Ruby married William Luther Lane on December 1, 1945 and he preceded her in death on February 6, 2001. She was a devout Christian and a lifelong member of the Pisgah General Baptist Church near Junction. Survived by her loving family, her two daughters, Sandra and Andy Hopson of Junction, Brenda and Scott Drone of Ridgway; three sons, Gary and Sherri Lane of Junction, Lonnie and Linda Lane of Junction, William Luther Jr. and Janice Lane of Equality; two sisters, Mary and Dennis Dickey of Ridgway, Zola Harris of Harrisburg; thirteen grandchildren, Andrea and Brian Kristen, Matthew and Bethany Hopson, Mark and Linley Hopson, Stewart Stanley, Shannon and Angie Stanley, Shawn and Heather Stanley, Travis and Emma Lane, Brittney and Nick Capeheart, Dallas Lane, Natalie and Adrian Thodoropoulos, Tera and Wes Henson, Tami and Jack Logsdon, Megan and Jeremy Jackson; thirty-one great grandchildren, Jakob Kristen, Jessica Hopson, Mattison Hopson, Caleb Hopson, Shelby Scates, Emma Scates, Cade Hopson, Bart Stanley, Tiffany Stanley, Ashlee Stanley, Austin Stanley, Jordan Stanley, Jaden Stanley, Jake Golden, Logan Lane, Dylan Lane, Brittany York, Bethany York, Halle Lane, Ellah Lane, Avah Lane, Brayden Capeheart, Aniston Capeheart, Will Henson, Lane Henson, Daine Hish, Dawson Hish, Audrey Jackson, Grant Jackson, Emily Logsdon, Hannah Logsdon; five great great grandchildren, Bentley Stanley, Keaton Stanley, Raylon Stanley, Caleb York and Aiden York . Also she was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two grandsons, Chad and Jason Lane; four brothers, John Riden, Homer Riden, Wiley Riden and Johnny Odle. Visitation for Ruby will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 11 a.m. to service time at 2 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality with Rev. Steve Hunt and Rev. Robert Patton officiating. Burial will be at the Hill Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pisgah General Baptist Church or to the Hill Cemetery.
