Rosalie (Allen) Rodgers

December 18, 1931 — October 26, 2014

Rosalie  Rodgers, 82, of Omaha, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014, 11:32 p.m. at the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.  She was born on December 18, 1931 near Omaha, the daughter of Freeman David and Gladys Matilda (Akers) Allen.  Rosalie was a homemaker and a former secretary at Logsdon Farms.  She was a member of the New Hope General Baptist Church.  Rosalie is survived by three daughters, Nancy and husband Stanley Hill of Norris City, Paula and husband David Healy of Omaha,  Tracy and husband Tim Howard of Junction; one son, Bruce and wife Tricia Rodgers of Murphysboro; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ruby Faye Allen and Mary Ruth Noon; two brothers, Ralph Wayne and George Freeman Allen.  Visitation for Rosalie will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Omaha.  Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Chad Everett officiating.   Burial will follow the service at the Palestine Two Cemetery near Omaha.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ridgway Golden Circle.
