Ronald Lee Honea, 88, of Eldorado formerly of Equality, went to be with the Lord and his beloved wife, on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at the Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado. He was born in May 17, 1928 in Laneburg, Ark., the son of late Grover C. Honea and Alta (Richardson) Honea McLain. Ronald married Molly Louise Sisk on June 4, 1948 and were married for sixty-five years until her death on December 20, 2013. He was a retired UMWA Coal Miner and attended the Equality Full Gospel Church. Ron was a Navy veteran and had served on the USS Valley Forge Aircraft Carrier. He is survived by his daughter, Jami and Chris Ozee of Ridgway; one granddaughter, Natalie and Troy Green of Mt. Vernon, Ind.; two great grandchildren, Madelyn Ivy and Henry James Green; one sister, Doris and Ken Yost of Sebring, Fla.; one brother, John R. and Pat Honea of Tonapah, Ariz. Also Ronald was survived by his sister and brother-in-law’s, Violet Beaver, Ronnie “Bud” Sisk, Rennie Knight, John “Wimp” Sisk, and Fran Honea. There will be a graveside service for Ronald on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Elmwood Cemetery near Equality. Those attending should go directly to the cemetery. Pastor Duke Williams will officiate the service. Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality in charge of arrangements. Internet condolences may be made at the website, www.vickeryfuneralchapel.com .
