Robert L. "Bob" Sadler, 75, of Ridgway, Illinois went to his Lord and Savior on Saturday afternoon, May 3rd, 2025 at the Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado. Bob was born on May 29, 1949 in Lafayette, Indiana the son of the late Samuel and Lavena (Boardman) Sadler. On September 30th of 1967 he headed to Shawneetown Courthouse with the love of his life, Dorothy M. Miller and entered into Holy Matrimony. They were blessed with fifty-seven years together. Bob was a retired coal miner and also spent several years as a police officer for the Village of Ridgway. He was a follower of Christ and was a member of the North Williford Baptist Church in Harrisburg. Bob will be remembered for his love for the Lord and his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Sadler of Ridgway; his daughter, Tammy and Brian Stephayn of Lebanon, Tennessee; his son, Robert Sadler of Ridgway; three brothers, Bill and Brenda Sadler of Omaha, Rick Sadler of Texas, Joe and Hedy Sadler of Omaha; one sister, Dora "Sis" Sadler of Carmi; two grandchildren, Erica and Keaton Eisenmenger of Fort Myers, Florida, Alexis Sadler of Danville. There will be a private burial Palestine II Cemetery near Omaha. Vickery Funeral Chapel in Ridgway will be in charge of arrangements. There will be a Celebration of Life for Bob on Saturday, May 10th at 11 a.m. at the North Williford Baptist Church in Harrisburg. Dorothy would like to thank family and friends for their kindness, support and especially prayers during our time of need.
