In Loving Memory of Reba "Sue" Bena

October 21, 1947 – April 23, 2026

Reba "Sue" Bena, a dedicated social worker and the widow of the love of her life, Frank Bena. She was the cherished daughter of Ruby and Hilard "Mike" Micas, and the dear sister of Vicki (Robert) Davis and Hilard "Mike" Micas.

Sue was a proud alumna of McKendree University, where she earned her Master’s degree in Social Work. Her passion for helping others defined her professional life, and she spent her career tirelessly serving her community.

Family was the cornerstone of Sue’s life. She was a devoted mother to her four children: Holly (James) Johnson, Perry Ring, Joel Ring, and Jody (Chris) Sale. Her legacy of love continues through her nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, in whom she took immense pride.

Sue will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, her professional dedication, and the lasting impact she made on the countless lives she touched.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 11am at Hogan Cemetery in Shawneetown, Illinois.
