Ralph A. Garrett, 82, of Norris City passed away on his farm on Friday, May 21, 2010. He was born on October 6, 1927 in Brydstown, Tenn., to James and Cordie Lee (Taylor) Garrett. He was a farmer and welder for many years in the Norris City and Omaha communities. Ralph is survived by his daughter, Sherry and Lloyd Jockisch of Godfrey; two sons, Jerry and Joyce Garrett of Omaha, Scott and Cathy Garrett of Shawneetown; two sisters, Martha Renshaw of Carmi, Ruth Blazer of Omaha; one brother, Truman Garrett of Omaha; eleven grandchildren, Eric and Faith Jockisch, Chris and Amanda Jockisch, Jamie and Vanessa Sauls, Rodney and Brandi Emmerson, Ricky and Trina Sauls, Dustin Sauls, Rhonda and Todd Tracy, Randy and Kami Garrett, Chad and Melonie Garrett, Cory and Ashley Garrett, Jamie Garrett; sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Peggy Sauls. Visitation for Ralph will be Monday, May 24, 2010 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Omaha. Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at the funeral home at 10 a.m. with Rev. Joe Patton officiating. Burial will be at Palestine Two Cemetery near Omaha.
