Pauline Brockett, 94, of McAllen, Tex. formerly of Omaha, Ill., passed away on Friday, December 13, 2013 at the Briar-Cliff Nursing Home in McAllen, Tex. She was born on July 26, 1919 in Ridgway, Ill., the daughter of Elmer C. and Ida (Mills) Edwards. Pauline married Willard B. Brockett on September 20, 1941 and he preceded her in death on September 4, 2001.
She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Mission, Tex. Pauline is survived by two daughters, Sharon and Larry Lilly of Mexico, Alice and Al Workman of Odessa Tex.; six grandchildren, Michael and Jolie Lilly of Quincy, Ill., Heath and Ginger Workman Haney of Austin, Tex., Cristina and Hector Gonzalez of McAllen, Tex., Ryan Workman of Odessa, Tex., Matthew and Annel Lilly of McAllen, Tex., Derric and Lily Workman of El Paso, Tex.; eighteen great grandchildren, Nicole Gonzalez, Sammy Lilly, Abigail Lilly, Naomy Lilly, Timmy Gonzalez, Lilly Gonzalez, Jay Workman, Jade Workman, Daniel Workman, Aubree Workman, Caitlin Workman, Garrett Haney, Savannah Haney, Wyatt Haney, Mikaela Lilly, Jackson Lilly, Brendan Kroeger, and Emma Kroeger. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five brothers, Kenneth, Gordan, Ray, Carl and Lawrence Edwards. Visitation for Pauline will be held on Tuesday, December 17th from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Omaha. Funeral service will at the funeral chapel on Wednesday, December 18th at 2 p.m. with Pastor Al Workman officiating. Burial will be at the Palestine Two Cemetery near Omaha.
