Pat E. Drone

Pat E. Drone, 77, of Ridgway, Ill., passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, 11:35 a.m., at the Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, Ind.  He was born near Ridgway on the fourth of July of 1937, the son of Edward A. and Ruth Ann (Naas) Drone.  Pat married Kay Bates on February 5, 1959 who survives. He was a retired farmer and a member of the St. Kateri Catholic Church of Ridgway.  Pat was a fourth degree knight of the Knights of Columbus,  L.A. Lambert Council #1581.  Also he is survived by his two sons, T.A. and Kim Drone of Cleveland, Tenn., Patrick and Lisa Drone of West Frankfort; two daughters, Donna and John Denny of Harrisburg, Tammy and Stephen Loehr of Mt. Vernon, Ind.; five brothers, Bernie and Carla Drone of Mt. Carmel, Fred and Beth Drone of Mt. Carmel, Tim and Bo Drone of Ridgway, Ron and Karen Drone of Mt. Carmel, Tony Drone of Ridgway; two sisters, Dorothy Fullop of Mt. Carmel, Barb Acord of Bonnie; nine grandchildren, Wesley (Melissa) Drone, Tyler (Meagan) Drone, Matthew (Erin) Drone, Dana (Daniel) Tippy, Johnny (Kristi) Denny, Deanna (Travis Randolph) Denny, Emily Drone, Noah Drone, Elizabeth Drone, Nicholas Loehr; seven great grandchildren, Landon, Braden, and Preston Drone, Jonah and Nolan Drone, Konner and Zachory Randolph.  Pat was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Phyllis Baumgart amd Regina Schimp, and one brother, Alfred Drone.  Visitation for Pat will be on Friday, May 15, 2015, with prayer service beginning at 4 p.m. with visitation to follow until 7 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Ridgway.  Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shawneetown with Father Steven Beatty officiating.  Burial will be at the St. Joseph Cemetery near Ridgway.  Memorials may be made to the St. Kateri Building fund.
