Pansy Ruth Brazier

Pansy Ruth (Kimes) Brazier, 55, of Elizabethtown, passed away, Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 1:43 p.m. at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, Ind. Her precious daughter, Christy Vickery; her brother, Mike Kimes and special friend, Kelly Oxford were at her side. Pansy was born June 16, 1952 in Jackson, Miss., the daughter of Lois (Thompson) Kimes Gobin and Dewey Kimes. She graduated high school from Eldorado and became a licensed practical nurse. Pansy worked for many years in the field she loved taking care of others. She surrounded herself by many good friends and co-workers during the years. Pansy had many endearing qualities, the most remembered will be the love she had for her family. Sunday was a day set aside for family and friends. Many friends found their way to her kitchen for lunch and were welcomed with open arms. She had a great sense of humor and a smile for all she met. She loved her home and garden. Spending time with her grandsons was very special to her. Sitting at the kitchen window looking at the river was one of her favorite things to do. She leaves behind three loving brothers, Mike Kimes of Elizabethtown, Karl Wayne and Sheila Kimes of New Burnside; Donnie and Betty Gobin of Rosiclare; her daughters, Christy Vickery of Elizabethtown, Tammy and Tony Duck of Jackson, Tenn.; her precious grandsons, Bradley Board, Boston Board, and Nathan Duck; a brother-in-law, Frank Graves; a niece, A.J. and Dustin Tripp; two nephews, Frank and LaCretia Graves and Christopher Kimes; her step father, Charles and Nancy Gobin; and fiance, Richard Coontz; five great nieces and nephews all of whom adored her. She is predeceased by her beloved mother, Lois Gobin; her father, Dewey Kimes and her beloved sisters, Bonnie Graves and Catherine Dent. Visitation for Pansy will be from 9 a.m. until service time on Tuesday, April 29th at Vickery Funeral Chapel in Omaha. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. with Rev. Fred Birch officiating.
