Norma Jean Jacobs

Norma Jean Jacobs, 75, of Ridgway formerly of Shawneetown, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2015, 9:25 a.m., at the Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.   Born in Chicago on July 24, 1939, she was the only daughter of the late Charles Norman and Inez L. (Doyle) Jacobs.  Norma Jean was a member of the St. Kateri Catholic Church.  She is survived by several cousins including Andre King of Chicago and Sandra Mason of Saginaw, Mich.,  and her Gallatin County family, Rosalee Davis, Jean Wills, Diane Patrick, and Beverly Stringer; and a special dear friend, Helen Gibbons.  There will be a visitation for Norma Jean on Friday, July 17, 2015 from 10 a.m. until Mass service time at 11 a.m. at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shawneetown with Father Steven Beatty officiating.  Burial will be at Immaculate Conception near Shawneetown.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to defray costs or to the Ridgway Golden Circle.
