Nevella Jane (Boster) Jones

Nevella Jane Jones, 92, of Ridgway, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, July 27, 2017, 2:40 p.m., at the Ridgway Rehab and Nursing Center in Ridgway.  She was born on May 25, 1925 in Scammon, Kan., the daughter of the late Anderson and Edna (Price) Boster.  On May 19th of 1944 she married Earl Ivan Jones who preceded her in death on the 26th of October 2005.  During World War II she worked in Evansville, Ind. in the Aircraft Factory and worked with her husband Ivan in the family business, the Jones Gas and Oil Company in Omaha.  Nevella was a member of the Ridgway First Baptist Church and the Omaha Home Extension.  She enjoyed baby sitting with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was a friend to all.  Nevella is survived by her daughter, Sharon Heath of Ridgway; one son, Deon and Annette Jones also of Ridgway; four grandchildren, Shane and Melissa Heath of Ridgway, Chris Heath of Ridgway, Justin and Jaime Jones of Trenton, Ky., Jarrod and Deanna Jones of Evansville, Ind.; ten great grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jonathan, Parker, Christopher, Jake, and Jaycee Heath; Dylan, Braxton, Atlas, and Apollo Jones; and one great great grandchild, Landon Jones.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her grandson, Timmy Jones; her son-in-law, Rodney Heath and one brother, Ben Boster.  Visitation for Nevella will be held on Sunday, July 30, 2017, from 1 p.m. until memorial service time at 4 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Ridgway.  The Reverend Mike Fields will be conducting the service.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ridgway Golden Circle or the Ridgway Baptist Church.
