Nannie L. (Stubbs) Deitz

October 19, 1938 — August 30, 2015

Nannie L. Deitz, 76, of Carmi, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2015, 3:30 a.m., at the Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi.  She was born on October 19, 1938 in Shawneetown, the daughter of the late Finch and Minnie E. (Milligan) Stubbs Sr.  Nannie married James Deitz on March 14, 1959, who survives.  She retired from the Old National Bank in Carmi.  Nannie is survived by her husband, Jim Deitz of Carmi; two sons, Troy and Lisa Deitz of Carmi, Tony Deitz of Denver, Colo.; one brother, Finch Stubbs Jr. of Harrisburg; three grandchildren, Renae and Mark Stine of Westville, Tyler and Tarah Deitz, both of Carmi; two great grandchildren, Kaiston and Bennett Stine; one brother-in-law, Dean and Cindy Deitz of Carmi; one sister-in-law, Norma Jean Frier of Carmi; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation for Nannie will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown.  Funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Ron Johnson officiating. Burial will be at the Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown.   Donations may be made in Nannie’s memory to the Westwood Cemetery.
