Michael B. Uselton

Michael B. Uselton, 38, of Shawneetown, passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 1, 2016.  Michael was born on March 20, 1978 in Eldorado, the son of Larry and Vickie (McLain) Uselton.  He worked at the Illinois Youth Center in Harrisburg as a correctional officer.  Michael was a member of the First Baptist Church in Shawneetown and an avid  Hamm Radio operator.  He is survived by his parents, Larry and Vickie Uselton of Shawneetown; two children, Dakota and Kyanna Uselton of Clarksville, Ind.; one brother, Logan Uselton of Shawneetown; two sisters, Bailey Uselton and fiancé Krist Adams of Layefette, Ind., Kellie and Dexter Russelburg of Evansville, Ind.; his grandfather, James P. “Jim” McLain Sr.  of Shawneetown; his fiancé, Lisa Holmes of Ridgway; with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Vera Jean McLain and paternal grandparents, Logan and Murley Uselton.   Visitation for Michael will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown.  Funeral service will be on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jack Hall officiating.  Burial will be at the Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown.
