Melba L. Beasley, 95, of Junction, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015, 11:30 a.m. at the Saline Care Center in Harrisburg. She was born in Brownsville on May 21, 1919, the daughter of James and Ora (Farmer) Eleam. Melba married James E. Beasley on September 8, 1975 and he preceded her in death on November 26, 1998. She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Sue Winters of Shawneetown, Glenda Reeves of Herod; three sons, James L. and Delana Morse of Junction, Francis R. “Bud” and Frances Morse of Shawneetown, Larry “Butch” and Judy Morse of Shawneetown; two sisters, Aletha Judd of Thomasville, N.C., Mary Evelyn Thompson of Seattle, Wash.; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Linda Kline; one grandson, Tommy Morse; and four brothers. Visitation for Melba will be on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from 9 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown. Reverend James R. Hubbard will be officiating with burial at the Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown.
