Marie Dora Languay

Marie Dora Languay, 94, of Ridgway; passed away, Sunday, January 4, 2009 at 8:05 a.m. at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado. Marie was born in Lowell, Mass. to Joseph and Sinharina (Mello) DeJesus on December 18, 1914. She was a homemaker and a seamstress. Marie is survived by six children; Richard and Cathy Baptista of Gloucester, Mass., Gene and Evelyn Baptista of Waterford, Conn., Donald and Nancy Baptista of Oswego, N.Y., Beverly Mills of Ridgway, George Baptista of Westerly, R.I., Robert and Colette Baptista of Wichita, Kan.; two sisters, Vera and Joseph Jesus of Stockton, California, and Evelyn Bettencourt of Lowell, Mass.; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; twenty-two great great grandchildren; six great great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Alice Sousa; two brothers, Tony and Manual DeJesus; two grandsons, Raymond Baptista and Donald Mills. Visitation for Marie will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2009, from 4 p.m. until service time at 7 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Ridgway. Father Mark Stec will be officiating the service.
