Lewis Hagart Noe

Lewis H. Noe, 84, of Equality, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016, 11:34 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, Ind.  He was born on June 13, 1932 in Corbin, Kentucky, the son of Jacob Lloyd and Sara Elizabeth (Halcomb) Noe.  Lewis was married to Bessie O. (Boggs) Noe on October 11, 1960 in Jonesbourgh, Va.  Bessie passed away on August 28, 2005.  Lewis was an army veteran of the Korean War and a retired coal miner.  He was an avid fisherman since a young boy and liked to do woodwork.  Survived by his two sons, Louis Noe of Equality and Tim Noe; and surviving sister, Shirley Swiesz of Harlan, Ky.  A memorial visitation for Lewis will be  on Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality.  Military honors by the Army Honors Team from Marion.  There will be a private interment at Leamington Cemetery near Equality.
