LaVerne Alicz, 88, of Ridgway, passed away at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado on Friday, September 12, 2008 at 6:50 p.m. She was born in Chicago on October 13, 1919 to George and Laura Alicz. LaVerne was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ridgway. She is survived by her friends and staff of Ridgway Manor Nursing Home. Visitation will be Monday, September 15th from noon until service time at 1 p.m. at Vickery Funeral Chapel in Ridgway. Father Mark Stec will be officiating the service and burial will follow at Crawford Campground Cemetery near Ridgway.
