Lahoma Fuhr Perry, 94, of Harrisburg, Ill., passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015 in Eldorado, Ill. She was born on September 8, 1921 in Leamington, Ill., daughter of Edward and Augusta (Thacker) Fuhr. Lahoma married Glenn Mathis in November 1939. She married E.R. Perry in November 1981. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Harrisburg, Harrisburg Women’s Club and Daughters of the American Revolution. She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Mathis of Harrisburg; one niece, Laverne “Tillie” Baker of Harrisburg; one nephew, Harve and Juanita Fuhr of Shawneetown, Ill., and numerous nieces and nephews. Lahoma was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Margaret Barnett Williams, Fern Colbert, Violet Steele; four brothers, Anthony, Virgil, Woodrow, Raleigh Fuhr. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 10:00 am until service time at 11:00 am at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality, Ill. with Brother Bob Williams officiating. Burial will be at the Leamington Cemetery near Equality. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fowler-Bonan Foundation, P.O. Box 848, Harrisburg, IL 62946, that helps local needy children with school clothing.
