Jessie Lee Minar, 96 resident of Omaha passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 at her residence. Jessie was born August 15, 1921 in Harrisburg to the late Fred J. and Hallie V. (Cummins) Johnson. In 1936, at the age of 15 years old, she moved to Omaha where she lived until her death. Jessie was a member of the May Chapter #783 Order of the Eastern Star of Norris City. She owned and operated the Curve Cafe in Eldorado for many years. On September 17, 1938 she married Clyde Woodrow Minar who preceded her in death on May 18, 2002. She is survived by a daughter; Ann Sharon (Gary) Whipple of Omaha, 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, a sister Martha Jane Stennett of Carmi and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Jessie was preceded in death by 2 sons; Clyde Wayne and Larry Edward Minar, 4 brothers; George, Frank, John and Gene Johnson. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Monday, November 6, 2017 at Vickery Funeral Chapel in Omaha. Visitation is Noon to service time. Burial will be in Palestine #2 Cemetery in Omaha.
