James Wayman Gibbs

James Wayman Gibbs, 72, of Evansville, Ind. formerly of Shawneetown, passed away at his home on Friday, February 6, 2015, 8:00 p.m. He was born on November 17, 1942 in Shawneetown, the son of Wallace Wayman and Maggie Lou (Murphy) Gibbs.   Jim was married to Jenny Gordon on February 14, 1998.  He worked a number of years for the Shawneetown Street Department.  Jim is survived by his wife, Jenny Gibbs of Henderson, Ky.; one son, Shawn W. Gibbs of Eldorado; two step children, Brian Harris Jr. of Madison, Tenn and Jennifer Harris of Smyrna, Tenn.; his Aunt, Eva and George Vickery of Shawneetown; three grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Stella Fedornock.  A private family service will held at a later date.  Vickery Funeral Chapel of Shawneetown in charge of arrangements.
