Jackie Lee Vaughn, 82, of Shawneetown, Illinois, passed away at his home surrounded by his loved ones on Friday, October 23rd, 2020.  He was born on May 3rd, 1938 in Shawneetown, ths son of the late Willard and Ida Pauline (Crane) Vaughn.  Jackie married the former Claudia Mae Smith on September 22nd, 1962.  Claudia preceded him in death on June 7th of 2017.  Jackie worked as a grain elevator operator for forty-two years at the Bunge Corporation in Old Shawneetown.  He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.  Jackie is survived by his son, Jackie and Tina Vaughn Jr. of Shawneetown; one sister, Wilma Kathrine Yackle of Lisle; one granddaughter, Tabitha and Steve Randolph of Shawneetown and one grandson, Michael Vaughn also of Shawneetown; three great grandchildren, Alexia Goemaat, Kypton Epplin, and Holden Vaughn.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and one son, Terry David Vaughn.  Visitation for Jackie will be held on Sunday, October 25th from 10 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown.  Burial with Military rites will be at Westwood Cemetery with Brother Michael Rushing officiating.  Due to Covid-19, social distancing and masks are required.
