Jackie (Sisk) Somers

Jacquelin I. “Jackie” Somers, 85, of Eldorado, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2014, 7:23 a.m., at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.  She was born on January 4, 1929 in Junction, the daughter of Jack Jr. and Virginia (Ruddick) Sisk.  Jackie married Jack Somers on August 6, 1949 and he preceded her in death on October 26, 1978.  Jackie worked at Burnett’s Bank in Eldorado for several years.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Eldorado and the Red Hats for God.  She is survived by four daughters, Vicki Lynn Reeves of Alton, Cindy Ann and Bob Parziale of Sidney, Oh., Stephanie Kay Kitts of Alton, Jill Sue and Mike Finley of Troy; one sister, Freda and Jim Munds of Broughton; nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren.  Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Ted Sisk.   Memorial service for Jackie will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Eldorado with Pastor Randy Plunkett officiating.  There will be a private burial at the Lindale Cemetery near Eldorado.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Eldorado.   Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality in charge of arrangements and internet condolences may be at the website, www.vickeryfuneralchapel.com.
