Jack E. Howard, 83, resident of Shawneetown passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018 at his residence. Jack was born December 24, 1934 in Junction to the late Herman, Sr. and Josephine (Kinder) Howard. Jack served in US Army. On November 20, 1971 he married the former Brenda Dillard who survives. Jack was a lifelong farmer and he faithfully attended the Shawneetown First Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children: Todd (Jessica) Howard of Norris City, Teresa (Jeremy) Howard-Hager of Junction, Tammy (Scott) Stefan of Carterville, siblings: Rebecca Ann Redeman of AZ, Mary Jane (Henry) Gross of Marion, Bill Howard of Junction, Jim (Louise) Howard of Shawneetown, Dave (JoAnn) Howard of Ohio, Jerry (Helen) Howard of Junction, Dan Howard of Junction, grandchildren: Gavin Stefan, Addison Stefan, Gracie Howard, Olivia Howard, Elijah Howard, Breydan Hager and two grand dogs. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four siblings: Betty Kirkie, Ellen Kay Bosaw, Herman Howard, Jr. and Conrad L. Howard. Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown with Pastor Jack Hall officiating. Visitation is 9:00am to service time on Tuesday. Burial will be in Fields Cemetery. In addition to flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shawneetown First Baptist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
