Henderson Mckay Powell

Henderson McKay “Red” Powell, 97, of Harrisburg, formerly of Leamington, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2013, 2:40 p.m. at the Shawnee Rose Care Center in Harrisburg.  He was born on August 6, 1915 in Eagle Creek Township, the son of Thomas Everett and Maggie Rose (Gibson) Powell.  Red was a World War Two Army veteran and a retired farmer.  He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Ella Powell,  Marietta Holley Powell, Mira Evalene Powell and brother, Morrison McElery Powell.  A private service will be held at Leavell Hill Cemetery.  Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality in charge of arrangements.
