Gleness Faye (Williams) Jester

Gleness F. Jester, 63, of Junction, Ill., passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, 2:27 p.m. at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.  She was born in Rosiclare on September 9, 1950, the daughter of Jewell J. and Dora E. (Myrick) Williams.  Gleness married Kenton Jester in Rosiclare on June 14, 1970.  She was member of Rosiclare High School class of 1968 and a church member of Shawneetown First Baptist Church. She had retired as secretary of the Gallatin County Democrat.  Gleness is survived by husband, Kent Jester of Junction; her only daughter, Teresa and Joe Crissup of Mt. Vernon, Ind.; two sons, Kenny and Angie Jester of Junction, Gary and Misty Jester of Cottonwood; one sister, Carolyn Carmickle of Golconda; three brothers, Billy R. and Martha Williams of Elizabethtown, James E. and Rita Williams of Newton, Robert G. and Judy Williams of Vincennes, Ind.; ten grandchildren, Austin, Jacob, and Lucas Crissup/ Nick, Kristyn, and Brennan Jester/ Alissa, Bryce, Isaac, and Callie Jester.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  Visitation for Gleness will be on Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown.  Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jack Hall officiating.  Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Cottonwood.  Donations in Gleness’s memory may be made to the Shawneetown First Baptist Church.  Internet condolences can be sent at the website, www.vickeryfuneralchapel.com.
