Gladys Dean (Endicott) Osborne

March 2, 1949 — January 30, 2016

Gladys Dean Osborne, 66, of Centralia, Ill.,  passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2016, 11:26 p.m., at the St. Mary’s Centralia Hospital.  She was born in Eldorado on March 2, 1949, the daughter of William R. Endicott Jr. and Mary Agnes (Flahardy) Mayhue.  Gladys married James Arlin Osborne on July 12, 1968 and he preceded her in death on June 16, 1990.  She is survived by her four children, James Arlin Osborne Jr., Rebecca Ealine Osborne, John Lee Osborne, all of Centralia and Courtney Marie Osborne of Texas; one sister, Kathleen Chamberlain of Ridgway; one brother, Jackie Endicott of Shawneetown; and five grandchildren.  Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Bonnie Tarrance, Dorothy Thrasher, Marilyn Weamer; two brothers, Vic and Robert Endicott.  Visitation for Gladys will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 from 10 a.m. until service time at Noon at the Shawneetown First Baptist Church with Pastor Jack Hall officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery near Eldorado.  Vickery Funeral Chapel of Ridgway in charge of arrangements.  Donations may be made to the family.
