Erman L. Lane

Erman L. Lane, 83, of Junction, Ill., passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the Eldorado Rehab and Healthcare in Eldorado.  He was born on July 3, 1934 in Sparks Hill, Ill.  Erman was one of five children of the late Dan and Ada (Oxford) Lane.  He married the former Patricia Morris on December 19, 1954 in Equality at the residence of his parents.  He proudly served in the Air Force during the time of Korean Conflict.  He retired as manager of a steel plant.  Erman was a member and Deacon of the Pisgah General Baptist.  Also he was the past master of the Dunes Masonic Lodge #741 and past patron of Hobart Eastern Star #314.  He was also an honorary member of the Ridgway Masonic Lodge #816.  Along with his wife Pat Lane of Junction he is also survived by their two children, Steven and Mona Lane of LaCrosse, Ind., Rhonda and Cliff Perrine of Valparaiso, Ind.; one sister, Elva Lane Scantlan of Harrisburg; one brother, Elvis and Carolyn Lane of Columbia, Ill.; five grandchildren, Amy and Ray Guthrie of Antigo, Wis., Jeremy and Rachel Perrine of Kingford Heights, Ind., Matthew and Elizabeth Lane of LaCrosse, Ind., Jennifer Perrine of Valparaiso, Ind., Samantha and Travis Kleca of LaPorte, Ind. ; two great grandchildren Zachary and Annabelle.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ervan Lane and Wilford Burklow.  Visitation for Erman will be on Saturday, June 23rd from 11 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality.  The Rev. Steve Hunt and Rev. Steve Shea will be officiating the funeral service.  The Ridgway Masonic Lodge #816 will be conducting the masonic service for Erman at 1:30 p.m.  Burial be at the Hogan Cemetery near Shawneetown.  Memorials in Erman’s name may be made to the Pisgah General Baptist Church.
