Elsie Rhea Tarrant

Elsie Rhea Tarrant, 98, of Omaha, Ill.; passed away on Monday, June 2, 2008 at 5:20 p.m. at Charlier Hospice in Evansville, Ind. She was born on May 27, 1910 in New Haven to Henry Albert and Jessie (Cathey) Greer. Elsie married Ralph O. Tarrant on December 25, 1935. She is survived by her husband, Ralph of Omaha; her daughter, Marilyn and Gerald Shain of Omaha; three sons, Larry and Nancy Tarrant of Spring Hill, Tenn., Vaughn and Linda Tarrant of Sacramento, Cal., Rick and Patti Tarrant of Omaha; eight grandchildren, Anita Lowery of Omaha, Douglas Shain of Norris City, Russell Tarrant of Shingle Springs, Cal., Mark Tarrant of Zionsville, Ind., Randy Tarrant of Columbus, Oh., Mindy Dale of Carmi, Nikki Tarrant of Omaha and Tabitha Neal of Norris City, eleven great grandchildren and one great great. Elsie was preceded in death by both parents; two brothers, Kenneth and Dale Greer; two grandsons, Eric and Allan Shain. Visitation for Elsie will be held on Thursday, June 5th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Omaha. Funeral service will be at the funeral home on Friday, June 6th at 10 a.m. with Rev.
