Donna Sue (Frohock) Gwaltney

Donna Sue Frohock Gwaltney, 78, resident of Marion, formally of Equality, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.  Donna was born April, 8 1939 in Equality to the late LaRue and Mary Inez (Colbert) Frock. She married Acie Gwaltney who survives.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed her fish pond, tending to her large flower garden and bass fishing with her husband.  In addition to her husband she is survived by a son Douglas and his wife, Billie Gwaltney of Marion, a sister; Peggy Diane Beckman of Equality, grandchildren; Erica Gwaltney, Samantha Gwaltney, Josh Gwaltney, Jacob Stephen Gwaltney and one great granddaughter; Emma Marie Gwaltney.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sons; Acie Gene, Stephen LaRue, Damon Acie, and a brother; Aurby Gene Frohock.  Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm Sunday, August 13, 2017 at the Equality Methodist Church with Rev. Matt Crain officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the church and noon to service time on Sunday. Burial will be in Loyd Cemetery near Equality.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.  Condolences and expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family via the website www.vickeryfuneralchapel.com
