Don J. Wood

Don J. Wood, 84, resident of New Haven, passed away Friday, September 18, 2015 at Ridgway Nursing and Rehab. Don was born December 26, 1930 in New Haven, IL to the late Jake and Lora (Goforth) Wood.  He was a farmer and a member of the New Haven Presbyterian Church.  Don is survived by a sister; Sue Mills of Laporte, IN, two brothers; James (Grace) Wood of New Haven, Ted Wood of Carmi and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters; Vonda Opal Cox, Jean Hale, Zola Myers, a brother; Otis Wood and a sister-in-law; Bobbie Wood.  Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, September 20, 2015 at the New Haven Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mike Fields officiating. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday noon to service time at the church.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church.
