Diana Marie Colboth, 44, of Harrisburg, Ill., went to be with her Lord after a long struggle with her illness, surrounded by her family on March 13, 2016 at 5:15 p.m. at the Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. Our lives will never be the same, she was our light. She was born on August 20, 1971 in Harrisburg, Ill. to Ralph Bates and Mary Lee (Jones) Combs. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Charles Colboth on June 19, 1991 who loves her dearly. Diana is survived by her husband of twenty-five years, Charles Colboth and a very special daughter, Brianna Colboth who was very precious to her. Her father, Ralph (Tonya) Bates of Cincinnati, Ohio; three brothers, John (Kim) Ditterline of Equality, Greg Bates of Harrisburg, Carl Bates of Cincinnati, Ohio; three sisters, Paula (Dennis) Thaxton of Harrisburg, Wendy Andrews of Pontiac, Ill., Amanda Pearson of Arizona. She has three nephews, Chad (Jomitia) Ditterline of Carrier Mills, Jayden (Sara) Ditterline of Mt. Carmel, Ill., Gregory Bates Jr. Of Harrisburg; two nieces Keasha (Chad) Bates of Mat. Carmel, Leisa Bates of Harrisburg; great nieces and nephews; one very special friend, Tammy Gibbs; her two dogs who gave her lots of company when we could not, “Maggie and Lilly”. Diana was preceded in death by her son, Jordon Wesley Colboth; her mother, Mary Lee (Jones) Combs and Step father, Richard Combs. Visitation for Diana will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality with Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Burial will be at the Elmwood Cemetery near Equality. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family. We will miss your kind and gentle hand. Our home is dark without you. The day God took you home our world fell apart. You loving smile, your gentle face, no one can fill your vacant place.
