Cosby O'Quinn

Cosby O’Quinn, 91, of Phelps, Ky., formerly of Equality, Ill., passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, 10 a.m., at the Good Shepherd Community Nursing Home in Phelps, Ky.  She was born on August 27, 1923 in Grundy, Va., the daughter of Jonah and Phoebe Margaret O’Quinn.  She was a retired cook from the Equality Grade School.  She is survived by her niece, Margaret and Chuck Hult of Hardy, Ky.; two nephews, David and Cathy King of Equality; John and Jane King of Ridgway; several great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Osie, Naomi, Roxie and Chloe; three brothers, Roy, Rufus, and Hollan.  Cosby was loved and held in the greatest esteem by her nieces and nephews.  Visitation for Cosby will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 from 10 a.m. until service time at 12 noon at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality.  Burial will be at the White County Memorial Gardens near Carmi.
