Catherine Ann Emmerson

Catherine Ann Emmerson, 79, of Norris City, IL, originally from New Haven, IL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 11, 2026. Catherine was born in New Haven, IL, on April 1, 1947, the daughter of Eldred and Thedola "Jack" (Gann) Emmerson. She worked at Coleman Tri County Services in Shawneetown, IL for many years.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Sondra Emmerson, one niece, Gidget (Andy) Wagner, one nephew, Rodney (Brandi) Emmerson, one great niece, Kaylee Wagner; and two great nephews, Zach Wagner and Matthew Emmerson. Catherine also leaves behind her friends at Feldman House, where she resided, along with the wonderful staff there that took such great, loving care of her for many years.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Jerry Emmerson, and her sister, Beth Emmerson.

Funeral will be held at Vickery Funeral Chapel in Ridgway on Friday, April 17, 2026 at 1pm with burial to follow in Union Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held from Noon until time of service.
