Brandon Michael Head

Brandon Michael Head, 37, of Shawneetown, passed away after an extended illness on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. Brandon was born on September 11, 1979 in Harrisburg, the son of Robert Michael and Phyllis Ann (Hopson) Head.  He married Brandy Gail Johnson on August 30, 2003.  Brandon was a heavy equipment operator for Morris Excavating of Galatia.  He is survived by his wife, Brandy Head of Shawneetown; his parents, Mike and Phyllis Head of Shawneetown; his sister, Jamie Stricklin of Shawneetown; his grandparents, James and Betty Jo Head, also of Shawneetown; special family friend, Dennis Randolph of Delwood; and his four legged friend, Little Maggie MooMoo.   He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Eva “Cornbread” Berry and Everett Hopson; and beloved pet, Cozmo.  Visitation for Brandon will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 10 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel of Shawneetown.  The Rev. Michael Rushing will officiate with burial at the Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown.
