Billie Elaine Overton

Billie Elaine Overton, 77, of Galatia formerly of Ridgway, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2009, 10:54 a.m. at Harrisburg Medical Center in Harrisburg. She was born in Ridgway on July 7, 1931 to John and Allie Pearl (Moye) Rister. Billie was married to William Andrew Overton on January 18, 1947. She worked for Grundy Nursing Home as a CPA in Morris, Ill. and she was a member of Ridgway First Baptist Church in Ridgway. Billie is survived by her husband, William of Galatia; three daughters, Pamela and Duane Schoffstoll of Joliet, Rebecca Ann and Terry Wright of Evansville, Ind., Ali Jo and Van Holman of Wilmington; two sons, Randy Morris and Cathy Overton of Morris, William Perry and Holly Overton of Kingston, Wash.; one brother, Landis Rister of Eldorado; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Laura Fern Garrison and Mary Hilda Schmitt; two brothers, Victor and Joe Rister. Visitation for Billie will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2009, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Ridgway. Funeral service will be at the funeral home on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Rob Gallion. Burial will follow the funeral service at Jackson Cemetery near Ridgway.
