He retired coal miner of 45 years from Peobody Coal Company. He is survived by brother, Jim and Helen Taylor of Equality, Four sisters, Madge and Claude Miles of Cumberland, KY, Catherine Phillips of Hiram, KY, Barbara Lewis, Hiram KY, and Martha and Raymond Bowling of London, KY. He preceded in death by parents, Sister, Geneve Williams Banks, and three brother, Howard and Jack Williams and Bob Taylor.
