Betty Lois (Chamberlain) Jones

April 7, 1938 — May 4, 2016

Betty Lois Jones, 78, of Equality, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, 5:21 a.m., at the Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.   She was born on April 7, 1938 in Stoddard County, Missouri, the daughter of George Owen and Mary (Nelson) Chamberlain.  She married Floyd Eugene Jones on May 23, 1955 and he preceded her in death on August 15, 2007.  She was a member of the Equality Social Brethren Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and secretary.  Betty worked at the Fountain View Nursing Home in Eldorado as a physical therapist.  Survived by one son, Jeff and Denise Jones of Equality; three daughters, Brenda and Stephen Questelle of Harrisburg, Zelda and Ronnie Ritch of Morganfield, Ky., Marilyn Volle of Equality; one sister, Sue Thompson of Harrisburg; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Bobby Chamberlain and one sister, Bonnie Jones; and one step grandson, John Ritch.  Visitation for Betty will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 10 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality with Pastor Darren Roach officiating.  Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery near Equality.  Donations in Betty’s memory may be made to the Equality Social Brethren Church.
