Anthony Eugene (Tony) Travelstead

Anthony Eugene “Tony" Travelstead, 54, of Equality, Ill., passed at his home on Monday, March 6, 2017.  Tony was born on August 30, 1962 in Wood River, Ill., the son of the late Oral L. And Oma Labecca (Foster) Travelstead.  He married Tammy Fay Harrelson on June 28, 1987.  Tony was a member of the Equality Social Brethren Church and a lifetime member of the Equality Fire Department.  Survived by his family; his loving wife, Tammy Travelstead of Equality; daughter, Tesla Travelstead of Muddy; son, Sean Travelstead of Muddy; daughter, Lydia Travelstead of Equality; one brother, Billy Joe O’Neal of East Alton, Ill.; his nephew, Tyler Crayne of Equality; his mother-in-law, Charlotte Harrelson of Equality; his sister and brother-in-law, Sheila and Richard Crayne of Equality; a cousin, Pete and Betty Foster of Brazil, Ind.; nephews, Kamryn, Holdyn and niece, Teagyn.  He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and the community.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew, Kyle Crayne.  Visitation for Tony will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality.  Funeral services on the following day, Friday, March 10, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Daren Roach will be officiating.  Burial will be at the Cottage Grove Cemetery near Eldorado.
