Tony Lee (Tone) Thompson, 54, of Harrisburg, Ill., passed away on Friday night, July 26, 2019, at the Memorial Center Hospital in Carbondale after a battle with cancer.  He was born on September 10, 1964 in Eldorado, the son of Walter and Georgia Sue (Chamberlain) Thompson.  Tony was employed at Barter Masonry in Harrisburg as a brick mason and member of BAC Local Union#8.  He was known for his kind and loving spirit, love for rebuilding cars and trucks but most of all spending time with his friends.  However, his true passion was his Harley Davidson motorcycles.  Tony served as the Vice-president of the Storm Riders and considered them part of his family.  He is survived by his loving wife, Kim; two daughters, Melissa and Hannah; his beloved grandson, Jordan Curtis; his mother, Sue Thompson of Harrisburg; one sister, Debbie and Keith Ledbetter of Harrisburg; his brother, Brian Thompson of Johnston City; his mother-in-law, Barb Sisky and several nieces and nephews.  Tony was preceded in death by his father, Walter Thompson; his sister, Connie Dowdy; his father-in-law, John Sisky; and his grandparents.  He has been entrusted to the care of Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown.  Visitation for Tony will be at the Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado on Thursday, August 1st from 11 a.m. until memorial service time at 1 p.m. with Pastor Les Chamberlain officiating.  Burial will follow the service at the Sunset Garden in Harrisburg.
