This note is to convey my deepest sympathy to all the Gunzel family. Al was a year ahead of me in school and was one of my heroes when growing up in Shawneetown. I always held him in high esteem. He was a very good student and athlete, a model for all us striving to be good students and working hard to excel in athletics. We played a lot of basketball together and became good friends. May he experience the boundless blessings of God and be reunited with all his loved ones that preceded him in death.

Al sat in the seat in front of me at FUMC. Always the kindest man. I am sorry to learn of his death.

With deep regret and sorrow, I learned of the death of my good friend, traveling companion, co-worker and most of all a genuine human being. David I met you a few times while your father and I were traveling on business and on behalf of my wire Adeline and myself we wish to extend our deepest sympathy to you and your family.
At a time like this, there is little that can be said to ease the sadness of the death of a loved one. However you may derive some comfort in knowing that our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of sorrow.
